Travel grants
Thanks to the support by the Volkswagen Foundation (Germany), fund is secured to offer several travel grants to African early career mycologists. Travel grant include a return economic class flight ticket, local transportation (from the airport to the symposium venue), visa costs, accommodation (hotel and meals), conference bag + material, registration fees, symposium diner and coffee breaks. Vaccination and passport fees are not covered. The grant does not cover excursion fees. For any grantee willing to participate to the excursion, please go to the excursion link (here).
All abstracts will go through a strict peer-review process by experts of the symposium subtopics. A strong preference is given to scientifically high quality abstracts.
Any applicant intending to apply for a travel grant should send an application letter to the head of the organizing committee. Application documents include a half-page letter and 1-page CV (with link to your publication list) in a single pdf file to be sent to Prof. Nourou Yorou (n.s.yorou@gmail.com) .

Accommodation
You can get reasonable air-conditioned hotel rooms from 15 000 (23,- Euro) to 50 000 fcfa (76,- Euro) par night, including breakfast. Average cost for a lunch or a diner ranges from 5,- to 10 Euro, depending whether you want to taste local food or European dishes. You can explore few hotels here:

For the whole 5-days symposium, we advise an average budget of 250,- Euro for the accommodation in Parakou, plus registration fees (150,- Euro for junior and 200,- euro for senior mycologists. Please prepare additionally 100,- Euro for accommodation in Cotonou where you will land and take off.
