The main goal of the 5-days symposium is to share and discuss new findings and progress made in tropical mycology by PhD students, early career mycologists, and experts from Africa and Europe. We are aiming at enhancing the scientific competence of junior mycologists concerning modern techniques, concepts and approaches.
This 5-days symposium will assemble mostly early career mycologists and senior European experts. It is our aim to address fundamental but practical aspects in order to orient the African participants towards applied mycology most needed for solving food, health and environmental problems. Good scientific practices will be promoted via awards to early career mycologists. The Association for Tropical African Mycology will be established in order to sustain the achievements of the symposium.
